Abridge.. to shorten.
Remember it this way... We cross a river over a bridge.. It's so much faster than swimming!
Picture that in your mind.
An example... Books are abridged... an abridged dictionary. Shorten, condensed and easier to use.
SAT TIP of the day
Answer every question you can UNTIL you reach one you can't or you're not sure of it... Leave that blank and go on to questions you CAN answer... If you have time, return to the unanswered ones....
Focus on the ones you KNOW or are mostly likely to get right! Why waste time on a question you don't know when you can get points on questions you do know!
