Clear the Air... ACT v. SAT???

I heard it again today from a high school junior.... "A really smart kid told me to take the SAT's because that's what colleges want." UGH!!!! So not true...

I researched top national schools including Harvard, my alma mater, Yale, UMass Amherst & Dartmouth, and Brown. They ALL accept either score.... Visit your school's Admissions page and look yourself! You will be pleasantly surprised!

So which test is for you???? Here are some things to consider:
  1. The ACT is more straightforward. The questions are easier to understand
  2. The ACT has a science section that tests your ability to reason and interpret graphs and  data.
  3. SAT has more sections.
  4. The SAT is for ardent wordsmiths.
  5. Colleges look at each SAT section.
  6. Colleges look at the ACT's composite score.
  7. Writing section is optional on the ACT.
So what's my advice? Stop listening to "really smart kids" and become one! Call us.
Our experience will guide you to reach your dream school!
